Waiting for Children
For some people starting a biological family is a straightforward process. For others waiting to conceive and carry a first baby full term is a long, arduous and painful journey. Difficulties in this area can raise painful questions. Will I ever have children? Why doesn't God answer our prayers? Is God really loving and trustworthy? Who can I talk to who really gets this?
We welcome those who are currently waiting for children and also people who have previously experienced a challenging wait and now want to support and pray for those still in it.
We would love to be able to support you in this journey, if you are interested in joining this group please email pastoral and we will provide more information about upcoming events and support.
Upcoming event in June…
Waiting for children can be a difficult journey for some of us. One marked by pain, disappointment, and unanswered prayers. How do we navigate that journey of pain and disappointment? Is there a safe place and helpful way to do so as a Christian?
Waiting for children is an informal event for anyone wanting support on the journey. Three couples will share how they have and are navigating through their own disappointments with the aim of creating a safe space for people to learn from each other and glean from the word of God. We will spend some time exploring what the Bible has to say on this matter as well as in worship.
We welcome those who are currently waiting for children and also people who have previously experienced a challenging wait and now want to support and pray for those still in it. Please register to attend. This is an adult only event.
