FOSTERING & ADOPTION

At St Peter's, we have partnered with Home for Good to raise awareness of vulnerable children in need of a loving home. Every 15 minutes, a child comes into care in the UK. Home For Good want every child to have a stable and loving home where they can thrive.

472 children are currently in care in Lewisham (numbers recorded end March '20) and this is expected to rise as lockdown eases. Bexley are already in need for homes for larger sibling groups and older children.

We believe that this is the time for the church to assist in finding a home for every child who needs one across South East London. We have a group at St Peter's dedicated to exploring fostering and/or adoption. If you are interested in joining this support group please email Hanelle.
